Small volumes of hot water change quickly, especially with frequent use. Regular service keeps water comfortable and equipment healthy.
Hot tub water needs to be replaced periodically, and more often with heavy use. A full drain and refill includes cleaning the shell, flushing lines where appropriate, cleaning or replacing filters, refilling, and rebalancing so the tub is ready to use.

Tubs that will sit unused through cold weather can be drained and protected against freeze damage, then restarted in spring.
